Childcare CO-OP and Yoga for Moms

Squeezing fitness and personal time into a mom’s busy schedule and tight budget can be challenging. Yoga can help caregivers of children find an island of quiet bliss, while getting stronger, more limber, and more centered. Time out for mom is essential to reduce the day to day stresses of child-rearing in a tight economy.
Karen Lee, the owner of Breathing Time Yoga in Pawtucket, understands this and has developed a new package to address this underserved need for moms. Moms will be able to take a 90-minute yoga class while knowing their little ones are right next door with another mom, doing fun and creative activities.
For moms on a budget, volunteering to do childcare, earns them a free yoga class at the studio. “This is a supportive environment for everyone and no one is really doing this right now in Rhode Island,’ says Karen.
Every week, a different children’s activity will be planned, with fun projects like making luminaries to reading circles. The projects are designed by Jennifer Neuguth of OOP!, a local retail store selling everything from handmade crafts to furniture and kitsch.

Participating children must be no older than 10 years of age. Children 11 years and older may take yoga with either mom or dad. 3 Classes a week to choose from:Mondays 9:30-11:00 am Moderate Heated Vinyasa w/Elaine Kenner

$0 = Earn one free yoga class for each childcare group you lead. For the
most affordable option commit to the childcare every Monday, do yoga
for free every Thursday, or vice versa
