Breathing Time Yoga is a oasis for all people to experience the healing potential of yoga. Yoga teachers Toni Lynn Bonadi, Christy Chase, Tara Comer, Kate Guilbaut, Angela Lang, Karen Lee, Lora LoPicollo, Tori Smith, and Aggie Stewart, are donating their services because they wish to offer the benefits of reconnecting with the body, quieting the mind, and renewing the spirit to those who have served the nation.
Studio owner, Karen Lee, who has recovered from non-combat induced post-traumtic stress disorder, understands first-hand how helpful yoga can be in restoring hearts and minds of those who have experienced conflict and violence and is glad to be sharing the gift of yoga with veterans. She says, “People were there to help me, with counseling, medical intervention and yoga and now I want to offer what I can to others. There & Back Again contacted me and I said yes!”
There & Back Again is a nonprofit organization that supports the well-being of service-members. Their mission is to provide reintegration support services to combat veterans of all conflicts by providing veterans with an opportunity to begin the process of reconnecting and reintegrating all parts to fully participate in “life.” Their programs incorporate a variety of wellness practices including yoga, meditation, martial arts, massage therapy, acupunture, Reiki, and many others. To learn more about There and Back Again please visit their website.
Through Yoga veterans learn breathing and relaxation techniques. Many veterans find this approach aids and complements their traditional forms of therapy. Yoga provides veterans with the tools to participate in their own healing, manage and process their combat experiences, and navigate life after war.
To participate combat veterans should show their service identification card before any of our regularly scheduled weekly yoga classes. For assistance choosing a class or for questions, please call Karen Lee at 401-808-0414.
