The Essential Low Back Training Program for Yoga Teachers

THE ESSENTIAL LOW BACK TRAINING
PROGRAM FOR YOGA TEACHERS

with Robin Rothenberg

With yoga-related back injuries on the rise and more than 30 million Americans suffering from chronic lower back pain, it's time for yoga teachers to be proactive! This training, based on the methodology used in the groundbreaking National Institutes of Health study published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, will teach you how to prevent future injuries and support your students in healing their backs with yoga.

In this 5-day intensive, you will develop the means to intelligently address the primary low back dysfunctions: hypo- and hypermobility, S.I. destabilization, pelvic misalignment, scoliosis, and lumbar-disc conditions. With Robin Rothenberg's expert guidance, you will learn the importance of breathing, sequencing, and adaptation as key elements in addressing therapeutic issues.

The daily workshop format will include developmental and therapeutic practices, teaching practicum, and case studies to provide you with an abundance of skills to work confidently with chronic lower back pain.

Note: Tuition includes a manual. This training counts as 37.5 hours of Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Credits.  If you would like to host Robin for this training in your area, or for a weekend on low back safety and injury prevention, please contact her at info@essentialyogatherapy.com.

Testimonials:

"I want to thank you so very much for the Lower Back Intensive. I came into the intensive, with all sorts of problems with my hips, lower back & sciatica. Under your tutelage I experienced great relief in all those problem areas. Actually they weren't problems, but rather misunderstandings of how my body works, responds and heals. I feel much more confident with the information I've gleaned from your course and am looking forward to teaching others what I have learned." -Shirley

The experience of being a student of yours last week was truly special. The combination of yoga philosophy, chanting, dharma talks, yoga therapy teachings in the viniyoga method, and your feminine energy as you presented yoga has left me very filled in the heart space! - Beth

Back pain is complex. There is no "one-size-fits-all" treatment. That is why Robin Rothenberg's Essential Low Back Program training is essential for any therapist who treats back pain. She provides in-depth analysis of the sources of back pain with appropriate contraindications and, more importantly, proven strategies that work. Even after eight years of treating back pain, I gained many insights from her training program. I recommend it highly." - Anita Boser, LMP, CHP, Hellerwork Structural Integration, Yoga Teacher, and author of Undulation Exercises and Relieve Stiffness and Feel Young Again with Undulation
