What kind of yoga should I do?

There are many styles and approaches to the practice of yoga. All of our yoga classes come under the umbrella of Hatha Yoga, a term describing the physical practices of yoga: primarily postures (asana) and breathing techniques (pranayama), as well as various meditation techniques.

All of our classes provide the benefits of yoga, inner peace and a more  focused mind, increased strength and flexibility, and an overall feeling of well-being.

CLASS LEVELS
Classes are offered at a variety of levels to meet the needs and abilities of a wide range of students.

Gentle is a slow paced, easy-going class for people with chronic aches and pains, or who need some deeply relaxing down time.  Suitable for beginners.

Basic provides basic instruction of the fundamentals of yoga practice.  Suitable for beginners.

Moderate if you want to go beyond the basics.

CLASS TYPES:

Vinyasa Yoga is a class that flows from one pose to the next utilizing breath, and are generally challenging.

Vini Yoga classes take a mindful approach to breath and movement and Viniyoga teachers adapt the practices to meet the needs of the students.

Alignment Yoga classes reflect the teachings of BKS Iyengar with precise descriptions and use of props to find proper alignment
